Overview
We're seeking an SC-Cleared Front-End Developer to join a high-impact government project. This role is primarily remote, with occasional on-site collaboration (typically once per week) at either our Croydon or Manchester hub. You'll be working within an agile, cross-functional team to build intuitive, performant, and accessible user interfaces for critical digital services.
Key Responsibilities
Develop high-quality, responsive Front End applications using React and TypeScript.
Collaborate closely with designers, Back End engineers, and product teams to deliver user-focused features.
Implement clean, maintainable code following best practices and accessibility standards.
Participate in code reviews, sprint ceremonies, and architectural discussions.
Contribute to Front End testing and quality assurance processes.
Ensure all work aligns with security, performance, and compliance requirements.
Required Skills
Strong commercial experience with React
Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript (browser-based development)
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with Playwright or similar tools for Front End testing
Familiarity with modern CI/CD pipelines
Understanding of secure development practices in government or regulated environments
Ideal Candidate Profile
Comfortable working in a remote-first environment with occasional travel
Strong communicator who can collaborate effectively with distributed teams
