Role: Systems Accounting Specialist (x2)
Length: 5 Month Contract
Location: 100% Remote (Must be available to work MST time zone)
Rate: $89.00 - $107/hour
Role Summary
This position will provide expertise in systems accounting, with active involvement in the implementation of SimCorp Dimension, including testing, configuration reviews, data migration, and conversion activities. You will play a key role in the implementation and optimization of SimCorp Dimension, working across accounting configuration, testing cycles, migration activities, and access control oversight. The role involves ensuring accurate system configuration in alignment with accounting standards and supporting operational due diligence.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical guidance and support for the implementation of SimCorp Dimension, including system validation, configuration assessment, change management, and user access control.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting configurations and data within SimCorp Dimension and related tools such as Snowflake/Databricks.
Conduct reconciliations and data validation during system conversion and migration efforts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Collaborate with Business Technology teams to identify configuration gaps and implement continuous improvements.
Research accounting treatments and market practices to support accurate workflow design and configuration direction.
Enhance operational due diligence through oversight procedures and testing of complex accounting scenarios.
Improve IFSA documentation; participate in the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and tools that support CSAE 3416 control requirements.
Qualifications
Experience working with SimCorp Dimension in accounting or technical capacity, within complex portfolios and large datasets (7+ years).
Hands-on accounting configuration experience in SimCorp Dimension in a transformation or major system implementation context (5+ years).
Proven ability to perform end-to-end testing and validation of new accounting systems, including data migration and ensuring completeness and accuracy (5+ years).
Demonstrated experience performing reconciliations between legacy and new systems, validating data conversion logic, balances, and integrity (5+ years).
Ability to diagnose and resolve complex NAV issues, ensuring accuracy and consistency across accounting, operations, and investment data sources (3+ years).
Strong data analytics and technical skills, including Power BI, Power Query, SQL Server, Python, Snowflake, etc. (2+ years).
Experience with capital markets products and complex financial instruments, including derivatives and structured products (5+ years).
Strong knowledge of IFRS and PS 3450 – Financial Instruments is preferred (3+ years).
Experience in operational due diligence, internal controls, or CSAE 3416 environments is preferred
Demonstrated ability to work across cross-functional investment, operations, and technology teams is preferred.
