We are looking for a Data QA Analyst to support data quality and validation efforts across reporting and analytics initiatives. This is a hands-on QA-focused role where the primary responsibility is to validate data end-to-end from source systems through transformation layers and into Power BI reports ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform data quality assurance across Power BI reports, dashboards, and datasets.

• Deep-dive into Power BI reports to understand calculations, measures, and data models.

• Trace reported metrics back to their source systems and intermediate layers to validate correctness.

• Write and execute complex SQL queries to verify data accuracy, completeness, and logic.

• Use Python scripts as needed for data validation, reconciliation, and ad-hoc analysis.

• Identify data discrepancies, document findings, and collaborate with data engineers and analysts to resolve issues.

• Validate data pipelines and transformations within an Azure/Fabric environment.

• Support project-specific QA needs, including regression testing when data models or pipelines change.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in Data QA / Data Validation / Data Analysis Roles.

• Solid working knowledge of Power BI, including:

• Report and dataset exploration

• Measures, calculations, and data model understanding

• Advanced SQL skills, with the ability to write complex queries for validation and troubleshooting.

• Experience using Python for data analysis or QA automation.

• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and data accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in an Azure ecosystem, especially Microsoft Fabric.

• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms, data pipelines, and enterprise reporting environments.

• Prior experience supporting QA for analytics or BI projects.

• Fully Azure-based environment

• Data platform built on Microsoft Fabric

• Power BI as the primary reporting and visualization tool

Rate / Compensation

• Rate depends on experience and skill level.
