Project Manager; Data Governance:

On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Project Manager for a 12 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Project Manager; Data Governance - Job Description:

We are seeking a Project Manager with expertise in data governance to support the Capital Markets data strategy initiatives. This role involves coordinating cross-functional programs to deliver complex, data-driven initiatives aligned with enterprise data governance standards, enhancing data quality and governance capabilities.

Project Manager; Data Governance - Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end program management for major data governance and data enablement initiatives.

• Plan, execute, and deliver projects focused on metadata management, data quality, data cataloging, and policy enforcement.

• Align enterprise data governance policies with business and technology use cases in collaboration with data leaders.

• Coordinate the delivery of data products and enhancements across Authoritative Data Source domains.

• Build and maintain detailed program plans that include risks, dependencies, and success metrics.

• Facilitate stakeholder communications and maintain transparency and momentum through working groups and steering committees.

• Oversee PMO functions such as risk management, dependency tracking, and reporting.

Project Manager; Data Governance - Mandatory Skills:

• 3-5 years of program or project management experience, focused on data governance or enterprise data programs.

• Strong understanding of data governance disciplines, including metadata, data quality, and data lineage.

• Proven track record of delivering cross-functional, data-centric programs in complex organizations.

• Experience with data governance tools (e.g., Informatica, Alation, Manta) and familiarity with governance frameworks such as DAMA DMBOK.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Project Manager; Data Governance – Nice-to-Have Skills:

• PMP, Agile/Scrum, or equivalent certifications.

• Experience building and maintaining program dashboards for tracking interdependencies and outcomes.

This is a 12 month contract position.
