We’re Hiring a Business Development Representative (BDR / SDR)

Full-time position – 40 hours/week

About You

Do you want to dive into the world of B2B sales within a fast-growing tech company?

Are you motivated, resourceful, and looking for a role with real impact?

We’re growing our sales team and we need YOU as a Sales Development Representative (BDR / SDR) to generate qualified opportunities across the North American market.

You’ll work closely with our Lead Sales Development Representative (Lead BDR) and the entire sales and marketing team to drive Lightbeans’ growth.

Lightbeans is a fast-growing technology company that connects building material manufacturers with architects and designers through hyper-realistic 3D textures.

We’ve built the largest library of virtual textures and materials for architecture in North America
Recognized in the Forbes 30 Under 30 – Manufacturing category
We developed a one-of-a-kind scanning technology, created in Québec, that transforms physical materials into interactive digital textures
Our technology allows architects to visualize and specify products even before construction begins
We’re a multidisciplinary team of about 20 passionate people (computer vision, 3D rendering, web development, marketing, and sales) driven by challenges, innovation, and collaboration

What does being a Sales Development Representative at Lightbeans mean?

Your role will be critical in generating high-quality conversations with potential clients.

You’ll be the first point of contact between Lightbeans and building material manufacturers.

More specifically, you will:

Identify, contact, and qualify manufacturing leads across North America
Reach out to architects and designers to generate demand for manufacturers
Generate sales opportunities for Account Executives (qualified meetings)
Contribute to outbound campaigns (emails, calls, LinkedIn)
Research and analyze potential companies and contacts (ICP, personas)
Work closely with AEs to deliver the right message at the right time
Maintain strong pipeline hygiene in the CRM
Participate in events and tradeshows across North America
Learn, grow, and contribute to improving our sales processes

What makes you the ideal candidate?

1+ year of experience in sales, business development, or prospecting (internships included)
Curious and motivated, you want to understand our clients, our product, and how everything connects
Organized, structured, and strong at managing your time
Bilingual (FR/EN), both written and spoken
Comfortable picking up the phone or sending 50 messages a day
You enjoy talking to people, asking the right questions, and building relationships
Autonomous, resourceful, with an entrepreneurial mindset

Nice-to-haves

Experience using a CRM (HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce, etc.)
Interest in design, architecture, or building materials
Experience in a startup or entrepreneurial environment
Desire to grow into an Account Executive role in the future
