Delivery Director - IT & Data Analytics Solutions

(FTC / Inside IR35 - initial 3 month assignment)

FTC Base Salary: up to £140,000 Base (pro rata)

Inside IR35: up to £1,000 per day (pro rata)

We are supporting a growing technology-led professional services organisation that is seeking an Delivery Director to provide leadership and stability across its project and managed service delivery teams during a period of transition.

This is a hands-on interim role focused on IT and data-driven delivery, people leadership, and client confidence while a permanent senior hire is completed.

The Opportunity

You will take ownership of a multi-team delivery function, overseeing the successful delivery of complex technology, data, and analytics programmes and ongoing run/operate services.

Delivery is fundamentally strong, but the organisation needs a senior leader who can hit the ground running, provide clear accountability, and act as a visible escalation point for teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities

Full line management of IT, data, and analytics delivery leads and their teams (c. 50–60 people)
Ownership of delivery across the full lifecycle:
Solution design
Build and implementation
Run and operate / managed services
Oversight of delivery quality, resourcing, prioritisation, and risk
Acting as a senior escalation point for complex delivery and client issues
Supporting collaboration across delivery teams with different technical and domain focuses
Representing delivery at senior leadership and governance forums
Maintaining momentum on agreed delivery and operating-model improvements

What We’re Looking For

Senior leadership experience in IT, data, and/or analytics project delivery
(e.g. Delivery Director, Head of Delivery, Services Director, Interim COO – delivery-focused)
Proven track record delivering complex technology and data programmes
Strong people leadership capability across multiple delivery teams
Comfortable operating in environments with both project delivery and run/operate services
Confident engaging with senior stakeholders and clients on delivery performance and escalation
Deep hands-on technical expertise is not required, but strong technical fluency is essential

Availability & Contract

Must be available immediately (or at very short notice)
Initial 3-month engagement, with potential to extend
Engagement will be Fixed Term Contract or Contractor (Inside IR35 only)
Hybrid working – some on-site presence expected (typically 1 day per week (in Yorkshire at HQ))
