The Position
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive DevOps Coordinator to support and guide the flow of work from planning through production. In this role, you will help teams deliver high‑quality, secure, and reliable software by coordinating activities across Jira, GitHub Enterprise, and Azure DevOps. You will play a key role in ensuring disciplined CI/CD practices, effective governance, and strong cross‑team communication.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in fast‑moving technical environments and enjoys enabling teams through structured processes, clear communication, and continuous improvement.
What success looks like?
Administer Jira projects/boards, workflows, and issue types for Dev, QA, and Ops streams.
Enforce ticket readiness, standard developer templates (including rollback plans and dependency flags), and peer review checkpoints.
Maintain traceability from Jira issues to commits, PRs, builds, and deployments.
Champion peer reviewed merges and standardized PR templates aligned to Jira artifacts.
Monitor CI/CD pipelines (build, test, scan, deploy) including environment gates and approvals. Ensure all current environments are documented (DEV, UAT, PROD)
Maintain/ create Github Repo’s, manage repo permissions, branching and merging strategies.
Maintain documentation for release management process, release notes and go/no-go process; facilitate readiness reviews and cross team signoffs.
Drive pre-deployment checks, comms, and post deployment verifications; ensure rollback plans are documented and rehearsed.
Participate in standups/scrum carryover and dependency management across squads, vendors, and stakeholders.
Publish dashboards and release health metrics; communicate risks, blockers, and mitigations.
As Our Ideal Candidate You Will Have
Experience working with a diverse set of stakeholders across diverse teams.
Proficiency with a wide range of Microsoft products.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated experience in DevOps/Release coordination across Jira, GitHub Enterprise, Azure DevOps.
Hands on experience with CI/CD, branching strategies, PR workflows, and protected branches.
Familiarity with platform like Salesforce, Sitecore and their release lifecycle.
Understanding of infrastructure as‑ ‑code, serverless deployment architecture.
Security mindset: Secrets management, RBAC, audit readiness; experience operationalizing SOPs
Nice to have: certification in Atlassian (Jira Administration), GitHub Administration, ITIL

Plan International Canada is a hybrid workplace. You will work from the office and from home.
The salary range for this position is anticipated to be between $56,000 and $71,000. We comprehensively evaluate a variety of factors to determine fair compensation, including experience, specific job-related skills, and relevant educational or professional training. Additionally, we ensure that compensation is equitable across our team and aligns with current market trends. This role also qualifies for an extensive benefits package and generous paid time off.
