The Role
The Assistant Manager, Sales Marketing & Communications plays a key role in supporting Village Gourmet’s commercial growth. This position partners closely with Sales, Marketing, R&D, and external stakeholders to execute trade marketing initiatives, manage sales-facing communications, and ensure consistent, high-quality brand representation across trade, distributor, retail, and digital channels.

What You’ll Do
Trade Marketing & Events
Plan and execute trade shows, food export initiatives, awards submissions, and industry events
Ensure all brands are represented clearly and consistently from a sales-facing perspective
Support brand visibility and customer engagement through high-quality execution
Marketing Communications & Sales Enablement
Create and manage presentations, sell sheets, flyers, and B2B email communications
Maintain organized marketing asset libraries for internal teams and external partners
Ensure all materials align with brand standards and commercial goals
Product Marketing & Content Management
Develop and maintain product spec sheets and core product information
Coordinate product photography and data across internal teams and platforms (e.g., Syndigo)
Ensure accuracy and consistency across distributor and retail systems
Distributor, Retail & Digital Support
Support distributor and retail marketing initiatives with customer-specific materials
Manage organic social media across LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook
Coordinate content tied to product launches, trade activity, and brand initiatives
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
1–3 years of experience in marketing, brand management, or consumer goods
Food or CPG experience strongly preferred
Skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
Experience with marketing asset management and digital platforms (Syndigo a plus)
Other Requirements
Willingness to travel up to 15% for trade shows and events
Work Schedule & Location
Hybrid schedule: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Location: Corporate Office — 1133 Broadway, New York, NY
Compensation & Perks
Salary: $65,000–$70,000, based on experience
