This role will be based in New York.

About Team:

This role sits within the Product org on the Content Development team, whose mission is to empower every professional with the knowledge, skills and community needed to succeed, both in the job they are in and the one they aspire to have.

The Content Business Development team plays a critical role developing, growing and managing high–impact partner programs. We partner with premier publishers, creators, and industry experts to develop and execute content-driven programs that accelerate growth across LinkedIn's consumer, ads, premium, and learning businesses.

About the Role:

The Business Development Manager will support LinkedIn Learning, our educational platform providing professionals the essential skills needed to advance their careers. The BD team supports the content library, currently made up of 25,000 courses produced by more than 4,000 industry experts, thought leaders and partners across 20+ languages.

This individual would be responsible for our licensing activity, working with leading brands, publishers, academic institutions and more to continue to grow their deepest library of quality learning content, while ensuring those partners properly leverage LinkedIn, the largest professional network.

The ideal candidate is self-starting, systems thinker, brings deep experience building licensing programs, strong relationships across the learning/education, media, and creator ecosystems, and the ability to align commercial strategy with product and content goals.

Responsibilities

Manage global licensee relationships from initial prospecting, to deal negotiation and partner management.
Synthesize deal concepts into term sheets and contracts, working with legal to draft agreements and operations teams to manage deal tracking, royalty performance, and quarterly reporting.
Deliver ongoing category analysis, partner performance insights, and strategic recommendations to optimize portfolio growth.
Collaborate with XFN team on industry trends,
Identify and develop new content opportunities, business models, and growth strategies based on industry trends.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in licensing and content acquisition, specifically within the Education/Learning space.
Experience with consumer and enterprise products.
BA/BS degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent experience, MBA preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proven success managing multiple high-profile partners and priorities with precision, diplomacy, and accountability.
Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to operate confidently in a fast-moving, high-expectation environment.
Clear and persuasive communication style that is collaborative, proactive, and solution driven.
A resourceful, level-headed problem solver who thrives under pressure and takes ownership from start to finish.

The pay range for this role is $142,000 to $232,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
