Job Specifications

ECS Resource Group are currently working in partnership with a global managed service provider who's end client is in the Mobile Telecoms sector. We are assisting them with the search for a Systems Developer (DevOps & Migration Focused) on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and enhance system-level scripts and applications using Shell scripting, Perl, Python, or similar languages.
Lead and support the migration of legacy scripts and tools to modern, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
Collaborate with infrastructure and network teams within a network-facing environment, while remaining focused on software development and automation.
Implement and support DevOps practices, including automation, CI/CD pipelines, and system reliability improvements.
Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and optimisation of existing systems and applications.

Key Skills:

Strong experience in Shell scripting, Perl, Python, or comparable scripting/programming languages.
Proven background in systems development, application support, or platform engineering roles.
Hands-on experience with application and script migration, refactoring, or modernisation initiatives.
Solid understanding of DevOps principles, automation, and deployment workflows.
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional technical teams, particularly within infrastructure or network-adjacent environments.
