Contract Recruiter
Location: Durham, North Carolina
Pay: $45 to $50 per hour (W2)
Duration: 8 months with the possibility of extension
Description:
We are looking for a Contract Recruiter to support full cycle hiring for a busy and growing team. This role is responsible for managing the complete recruitment process from the initial job posting to the final offer stage. The right candidate will be comfortable handling multiple openings at once, communicating with hiring managers, and keeping the process moving smoothly.
Responsibilities:
Post job advertisements on job boards, social media, and internal systems
Source candidates through internet searches, resume databases, referrals, and networking
Review resumes and screen candidates to assess qualifications
Conduct phone or video interviews
Present qualified candidates to hiring managers and gather feedback
Schedule interviews and coordinate communication throughout the hiring process
Assist with salary discussions and offer details when needed
Maintain accurate notes and candidate information in the applicant tracking system
Support hiring managers by providing timely updates and guidance throughout each search
Work on several requisitions at once while meeting deadlines and expectations
Help promote company hiring practices related to compensation, staff development, and equal employment standards
Preferred Experience (Not Required):
Experience recruiting in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or manufacturing is helpful, but candidates with strong general recruiting experience are also encouraged to apply.
