HR Operations Coordinator

Manhattan - 4 days onsite, Fridays Remote

New York–based investment management firm is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Operations Coordinator to support its Human Resources team during a period of growth and transformation. This role is ideal for an early-career HR professional who enjoys hands-on operational work and contributing to the development of structure and processes within a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Administrative Support

Provide day-to-day HR administrative support across onboarding, offboarding, recordkeeping, and compliance activities.
Coordinate interview scheduling and recruiting logistics to support a seamless candidate and hiring manager experience.
Prepare, maintain, and audit HR documentation, employee files, trackers, and checklists.
Support compliance-related initiatives, including I-9 preparation and file reviews.

Project & Process Support

Partner with HR team members to support initiatives across the employee lifecycle.
Assist with documenting new and evolving HR processes as the team builds structure and consistency.
Track timelines, action items, and milestones to support project execution.
Contribute to evaluating workflows and identifying opportunities for operational improvement.

Data, Systems & Reporting

Utilize Excel to build and maintain trackers, reports, and operational tools.
Support accurate data entry and maintenance within HR systems.
Assist with organizing and centralizing HR resources.

Additional Exposure

Support HR initiatives related to benefits and international onboarding in a support capacity.
Partner cross-functionally with Finance and other internal teams as needed.

Qualifications

3–5 years of Human Resources experience, ideally blending HR Coordinator and Junior HR Generalist responsibilities.
Strong foundation in HR operations, including onboarding/offboarding, compliance, and recordkeeping.
Demonstrated comfort with hands-on administrative work.
Experience supporting projects, documentation, and process development.
Strong Excel skills required.
Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and discretion.
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
