About Decagon

Decagon is the leading conversational AI platform empowering every brand to deliver concierge customer experiences.

Our technology enables industry-defining enterprises like Avis Budget Group, Chime, Oura Health, 1-800-FLOWERS.COM, and Hunter Douglas to deploy AI agents that power personalized, deeply satisfying interactions across voice, chat, email, SMS, and every other channel.

We’re building a future where customer experiences are being redefined from support tickets and hold music to faster resolutions, richer conversations, and deeper relationships. We’re proud to be backed by world-class investors who share that vision, including a16z, Accel, Bain Capital Ventures, Coatue, and Index Ventures, along with many others.

We’re an in-office company, driven by a shared commitment to excellence and velocity. Our values — Just get it done, Invent what customers want, Winner’s mindset, and The Polymath Principle — shape how we work and grow as a team.

About The Team

The Agent Building team creates the platform that customers use to build, maintain, and improve their AI agents. We transform complex engineering work into intuitive self-serve products, making sophisticated AI capabilities accessible to both technical and non-technical Customer Experience teams.

About The Role

You'll be a full-stack product engineer building the tools that empower customers to create and optimize their AI agents. This means working closely with the Agent Software Engineering and Agent PM teams to understand current workflows, then designing elegant abstractions and interfaces that scale those capabilities across our customer base. You’ll work day-to-day with the core product and design teams, joining discovery, defining requirements, reviewing designs, and iterating through launch.

In this role, you will

Eliminate manual engineering work by building self-serve functionality for agent configuration, training, and deployment
Create AI-powered tools that enable non-technical teams to create and manage sophisticated workflows without writing code
Design configuration abstractions that balance power and simplicity - handling diverse use cases while remaining accessible to non-technical teams
Build monitoring and analytics that surface actionable insights, helping customers identify where their agents can improve
Own features end-to-end, from technical architecture through deployment and iteration

Your background looks something like this

4+ years building full-stack software products with strong product thinking
Proficient in TypeScript and/or Python, comfortable working across the entire stack
Experience translating complex technical capabilities into simple, usable interfaces
Track record of balancing technical excellence with pragmatic shipping

Even better

Experience building developer tools, APIs, platforms, or internal tools that became customer-facing
Background with LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI agent systems
Familiarity with asynchronous programming and building scalable systems
Experience with observability, data visualization, or analytics products

Benefits

Medical, dental, and vision benefits
Take what you need vacation policy
Daily lunches, dinners, and snacks in the office to keep you at your best

Compensation

$250K – $330K + Offers Equity

Compensation Range: $250K - $330K
