The role

We are looking for a talented Lead Software Engineer to strengthen our R&D team and contribute to the implementation of next-generation IoT software components.

The role is focused on new and evolving development tracks and is intentionally scoped to avoid deep involvement in legacy platforms.

After a period of on boarding to our technology solutions, you will take the responsibility for leading the development of an integrated IoT solution covering Linux appliance and cloud backend software as well as contribute to the development of solutions in collaboration with the team of hardware and software engineers.

The architecture of the new solution has already been professionally designed by our system architect, who will also actively support and accompany the start of the implementation phase.

Your responsibilities include:

Lead the development of IoT-related software components on Linux-based systems using C# / .NET in the context of a new large investment in future solutions.
Translating architectural and product requirements into high-quality, maintainable software
Implementing communication between IoT Linux systems backend/cloud services
Integrate firmware, software and hardware into complete technology solutions in collaboration with project development teams
Ensuring software quality through reviews, testing and validation
Collaborating with R&D management, product Ownership, the system architect and hardware team in an aligned execution model
Contributing to technical documentation and knowledge sharing

 

Your profile

You are a senior software engineer who is comfortable acting as a technical lead within a defined scope and who is enthusiastic about staying current with the latest technologies, enjoys working in a team and is focused on delivery, you have:

A degree in Software engineering or equivalent from experience.
Strong experience with C# / .NET
Solid experience working with Linux-based IoT systems (Linux distribution such as Yocto, Buildroot, …)
Familiarity in Communication Protocols (RS232, RS485, TCP/IP, …)
Experience with secure coding and using Cryptographic technologies
Proficiency with GIT and collaborative development workflows
English and French or Dutch proficiency

 

The following expertise or experience is a differentiator:

Proven track record in delivering a significant development project
Experience in Access Control environment or Security technologies
Prior work in verification and validation for embedded software development
Experience with Unit-testing and integration-testing
