Job Title: IT Support Specialist

Job Location - Toronto, ON

Pay - CAD 65,000

Working hours - 33 hours per week.

Duties:

This role involves providing technical support to ensure the smooth operation of the company’s IT systems. Main duties include:

Provide first-level technical support to employees for computer systems, hardware, software, and network issues
Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment and software
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network problems
Monitor system performance and security, and escalate issues when required
Assist in maintaining internal IT systems and AI-related tools
Document problems and resolutions for future reference
Coordinate with vendors and external service providers as needed
Provide guidance and training to staff on IT systems.

Education and Experience:

Skills (Expanded Version)

College diploma or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in IT support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and networks
Experience maintaining internal IT systems and supporting employees
College diploma or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
Minimum 3 + years of experience in IT support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and networks
Experience maintaining internal IT systems and supporting employees
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Knowledge of Windows, Linux, and Mac OS operating systems
Experience with network setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance (LAN, VPN, Wi-Fi)
Familiarity with cloud-based systems (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, AWS, Azure)
Experience supporting AI tools or internal automation systems
Good communication and interpersonal skills for assisting staff
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple support requests
Experience with IT asset management and documentation
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and system security monitoring
Ability to install, configure, and maintain hardware and software
Experience with remote desktop support and remote troubleshooting tools
Ability to train staff on new systems and software
