About the Role

Client’s Faculty of Medical Sciences (FMS) is seeking a creative, organised, and data-driven Marketing Officer to help showcase our world-leading education and research. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in attracting and supporting a diverse, high-calibre student community while contributing to Client’s global reputation.

Working as part of a collaborative and expert Marketing and Communications team, you will help deliver impactful marketing campaigns, events, and content across digital channels, supporting the full applicant journey from awareness to enrolment.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Expertise & Collaboration

Develop in-depth knowledge of FMS education programmes and research activity, building strong relationships with academic and professional stakeholders.
Support the delivery of marketing campaigns and events across digital and on-campus channels.
Work closely with Client Marketing, Student Recruitment, Communications, and the wider VPEE team to align faculty activity with Client-wide marketing and applicant experience strategies.
Contribute to Client’s Communities of Practice, sharing insight and best practice as part of a wider professional marketing network.

Programme Marketing & Applicant Journey

Support the implementation of marketing plans designed to attract, nurture, and convert a diverse pipeline of prospective undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Assist in the creation of engaging digital marketing content, working with Marketing Managers and Student Ambassadors.
Contribute to the development of prospectus content (online and print) and CRM nurture and conversion communications.
Support paid media and advertising activity, including campaign coordination and development of creative assets.
Coordinate Student Ambassadors involved in marketing activities and events.
Help manage a rolling schedule of marketing activity, including CRM campaigns, digital content, and on-campus and online events.
Support targeted marketing initiatives that contribute to widening participation and student diversity objectives.

Marketing Insight & Performance

Take a data-driven approach to marketing activity, contributing to analytics and performance reporting.
Carry out audience, channel, and competitor research to identify new opportunities for engagement and growth.

Governance, Inclusion & Sustainability

Ensure all marketing activities comply with GDPR, CMA requirements, and Public Sector Accessibility Regulations.
Actively support Client’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) commitments, ensuring inclusive and accessible marketing content and events.
Apply Client accessibility best practice to all digital and offline marketing activity.
Contribute to the Faculty’s commitment to climate action and net-zero carbon goals.
Maintain awareness of Health & Safety and Fire Regulations.

Please note: the role may involve occasional evening or weekend work to support events.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

Experience supporting or delivering marketing activities.
Strong digital and web literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and content management systems.
Ability to learn new digital tools and platforms quickly.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with high attention to detail.
A collaborative team player, comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders.
A creative, improvement-focused mindset with a commitment to high-quality outputs.

Desirable

Experience of cross-channel digital marketing and events.
Experience using data and insights to evaluate marketing performance.
Experience contributing to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion initiatives.
Knowledge of GDPR, accessibility standards, and public-sector digital requirements.
Experience creating content for digital marketing and social media.
