Position: Full Stack Engineer
Location: Reston, VA/Plano, TX (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 Months (Possible extensions)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in Java-based enterprise applications and modern full-stack technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-complexity, system-level applications while ensuring performance, security, and scalability. This role requires hands-on development experience across backend, frontend, databases, and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze, design, develop, and unit test enterprise-level applications based on business requirements and design documents
Build and maintain scalable full-stack solutions across backend and frontend layers
Resolve defects identified during testing cycles and production support
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
Monitor application performance and optimize for reliability and scalability
Identify and remediate cybersecurity vulnerabilities
Implement Application Performance Management (APM) and observability practices
Participate throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including requirements, development, deployment, and maintenance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions
Required Skills & Experience:
7–10+ years of hands-on experience in Java enterprise development
Strong experience with:
Java, Spring Boot
Python
SQL
JavaScript
Angular
AWS services
Experience with debugging tools and performance optimization
Knowledge of application security and vulnerability management
Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools
Solid understanding of SDLC methodologies
Strong knowledge of application servers, databases, and system architecture
Experience working on large-scale, high-complexity systems
Preferred Technical Exposure:
Experience with one or more of the following:
J2EE, EJB
Oracle, Sybase, SQL databases
MQ Series
C, C++, ASP, PowerBuilder, Visual Basic
Windows/NT environments
Education & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
Professional certifications are a plus
10+ years of overall software development experience preferred
Strong IT background with experience on enterprise-scale projects.
