Job Title: Project Manager - Epic Digital Engagement

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Contract Project Manager to support our Epic Digital Engagement portfolio. This role will lead and coordinate projects across key Epic applications, including MyChart, Hello World, Cheers, EpicCare Link, and Healthy Planet, ensuring successful delivery aligned with organizational goals, timelines, and Epic best practices.
The ideal candidate has strong Epic experience, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a proven track record of delivering complex healthcare IT initiatives. This position requires a local presence in the DC Metro area to support in-person collaboration as needed. The contract will be engaged through our Epic implementation partner.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end project delivery for Epic digital engagement initiatives, from planning through execution and go-live
Serve as the primary project lead for MyChart, Hello World, Cheers, EpicCare Link, and Healthy Planet-related efforts
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, risk logs, and status reporting
Coordinate cross-functional teams including IT, clinical, operational, vendor, and Epic resources
Facilitate project governance, stakeholder meetings, and executive-level updates
Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies
Ensure alignment with Epic implementation methodologies and organizational standards
Support change management, communication planning, and go-live readiness activities
Track milestones, deliverables, and resource utilization to ensure projects stay on time and within scope
Required Qualifications
5+ years of project management experience, preferably in healthcare IT environments
Direct experience managing Epic implementations or optimizations, with a strong preference for digital engagement applications
Demonstrated experience working with or through an Epic implementation partner
Strong understanding of Epic patient-facing and population health tools (MyChart, Hello World, Cheers, EpicCare Link, Healthy Planet)
Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
Must be local to the Washington, DC Metro area and able to support onsite needs as required
Preferred Qualifications
Epic certification(s) in relevant modules
PMP or similar project management certification
Experience supporting large health systems or academic medical centers
Familiarity with population health, patient engagement, and care coordination initiatives
