Role Overview: Senior AI/ML Engineer

For our client, active in the insurance sector, we are seeking a highly skilled AI/ML Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Implementation & Development

Pipeline Engineering: Design and deploy comprehensive data pipelines, covering everything from SharePoint extraction and document parsing to metadata generation and structured storage.
AI Architecture: Build and optimize embeddings, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) indexes, and sophisticated search/response mechanisms.
Systems Integration: Develop seamless integrations between Azure OpenAI services, internal databases, and backend API layers.
Quality Assurance: Maintain rigorous code quality through automated testing, peer reviews, and detailed technical documentation.

Collaboration & Strategy

Architectural Alignment: Partner with the AI Architect to ensure all technical components adhere to the global solution design and long-term vision.
Continuous Improvement: Work with AI Analysts to refine extraction logic and RAG optimization strategies.
Operational Support: Lead troubleshooting efforts across the MVP stack and participate in integrated testing and functional validation.

Technical Requirements

Core Tech Stack:

C#.NET Mastery: Extensive experience using C# for backend development and AI-related data processing.
Full-Stack & Data: Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, and both relational and non-relational databases.
AI/ML Expertise: Strong grasp of AI algorithms, model serving, and deploying components into production.
Cloud Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI services and cloud-based AI deployments.

Experience & Certifications:

7+ Years: Deep expertise in C#, Cloud Integration, Embeddings Engineering, and RAG architectures.
Agile & DevOps: Minimum 5 years working in Agile environments with a solid understanding of CI/CD and cloud engineering.
Frameworks: Familiarity with ITIL (3+ years) and knowledge of architectural frameworks (TOGAF/SOA) is a significant advantage.

Language: Fluency in French and Dutch (or high proficiency in one with a strong working knowledge of the other). English proficiency is a major asset.

Practical :

Location : Anderlecht (hybrid: 2 days/week on-site)

Contract : Freelance

Duration : 6 months + possibility for extension
