We’re Hiring: Test Engineer – SSD Qualification

Location: Bellevue, WA (Onsite)

Contract: 12 Months

Pay Rate: Up to $63/hour

Travel: Up to 25% (including visits to global labs such as Houston)

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Test Engineer to join Samsung’s SSD Customer Qualification Test Team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for executing and debugging OEM SSD qualification tests and working closely with development teams to ensure high-quality, production-ready SSD products.

Key Responsibilities

Execute and debug SSD qualification tests for OEM drives
Analyze test scripts, logs, and failure patterns
Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve issues
Validate SSD functionality using industry-standard protocols
Support customer qualification activities across global labs

Required Skills

Experience in SSD testing and qualification
Strong knowledge of NVMe / PCIe storage protocols
Proficiency with Linux operating systems
Scripting or programming experience using Python or Windows PowerShell
Strong debugging and analytical skills

Nice to Have

Experience with OEM drive qualification
Familiarity with Microsoft (MSFT) systems
Prior experience working in customer-facing test environments

Ideal Candidate

Comfortable working onsite in lab environments
Willing to travel up to 25%
Detail-oriented, analytical, and collaborative
Enjoys hands-on testing and root-cause analysis
