Senior Associate, Performance Measurement & Analytics
12‑Month Contract | 3 Days Onsite | Toronto
Insight Global is seeking a highly motivated Senior Associate to join the Performance Measurement & Analytics team at a leading professional asset manager. This individual will support complex investment performance and analytical reporting across multi‑billion‑dollar portfolios, ensuring data accuracy, high‑quality insights, and strong cross‑functional collaboration. The Senior Associate will also play a key role in enhancing reporting processes and supporting junior team members.
About the Role
The Senior Associate will be responsible for producing investment performance reports, conducting detailed analysis, and supporting attribution and risk analytics across multiple asset classes. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical foundations in financial services and an interest in performance measurement, reporting, and investment analytics.
Key Responsibilities
Produce, develop, and present investment-related reports and analysis to monitor portfolio performance.
Conduct detailed research and analysis on investment performance across asset classes.
Assist in developing and enhancing performance measurement and attribution models.
Manage and evaluate performance, risk, and attribution at security, portfolio, and total-fund levels.
Collaborate with internal groups such as Data Management, Investment Risk, Operations, and IT, as well as external service providers.
Support reporting environment enhancements, process improvements, and data integrity checks.
Provide analytical insights to stakeholders for investment decision-making.
Train, mentor, and review the work of junior associates.
Participate in strategic initiatives, governance forums, and ad‑hoc projects.
Stay current on market conditions, investment trends, and industry developments.
Other duties as required.
Required Skills & Experience
4–7 years of relevant experience in financial services (asset management, institutional investing, or capital markets).
Strong understanding of finance, portfolio management theory, and asset classes.
Undergraduate degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
Advanced quantitative, analytical, and financial modeling skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access.
Experience working with SQL.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Understanding of performance measurement concepts (full hands‑on experience is not required but is an asset).
Nice-to-Have Skills & Experience
Graduate degree (MBA, MFin) or professional designation (CFA, FRM, CIPM).
Experience with P&L attribution and investment analytics.
Knowledge of additional programming languages (e.g., Python, Excel VBA).
Familiarity with Eagle PACE, Bloomberg, or similar systems.
The pay for this role $45/hr.
