Responsibilities
Deliver straightforward, actionable guidance on a broad range of privacy and data-sharing matters across multiple regions.
Collaborate closely with senior legal stakeholders to strengthen awareness of and participation in the organisation’s global data protection framework.
Assist in the assessment and negotiation of commercial agreements, including e-commerce, software, and consulting contracts, with particular attention to data protection provisions.
Prepare and provide input on essential privacy documentation, such as data processing and cross-border transfer agreements, and contribute to privacy risk and impact assessments.
Maintain and refresh privacy policies, standards, and training resources to ensure they remain current, practical, and accessible for employees.
Partner with business teams to ensure records of personal data processing activities are complete and accurately captured within the company’s privacy governance tools.
Support the handling of data subject access requests and help coordinate responses to suspected or actual data security incidents.
Monitor emerging privacy legislation and regulatory guidance, summarising key developments for relevant stakeholders and compliance forums.
Work alongside privacy champions, legal colleagues, internal audit, and other internal stakeholders to embed strong data protection practices throughout the organisation.
About you
You are qualified as a solicitor in the UK or as a lawyer in another jurisdiction and have experience in Data Privacy
Ideally you have experience working in-house
You are keen to keep developing your career in an international environment working in the Data Privacy area
You have the right to work in the UK (the company does not provide visa sponsorship)
Mode of working
This is a hybrid role requiring office presence 3 days a week (and 2 days from home).
The working hours can be flexible.
