A high-growth SaaS fintech company is expanding its SRE organisation and is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Manager to lead reliability, performance, and scalability initiatives across its core platform. This is a critical, high-impact role for an experienced SRE leader who thrives in complex distributed environments and enjoys bringing structure, maturity, and reliability to fast-moving engineering teams.
The Opportunity
You’ll own reliability strategy across cloud-native systems, influence architectural decisions, and be a mentor and force multiplier for the broader engineering organisation. This role sits at the intersection of leadership, hands-on technical depth, and cross-functional collaboration.
What You’ll Do
Lead SRE initiatives across reliability, observability, incident response, performance tuning, and automation
Partner with Engineering, Security, and Product to define SLIs/SLOs and shape long-term platform resilience strategy
Drive a culture of operational excellence—reducing toil, improving release velocity, and tightening feedback loops
Guide incident management, root cause analysis, and post-mortem processes
Deliver tools, pipelines, and automation to support CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and scalable service management
Support and mentor SREs and engineers; informal leadership experience highly valued
Work hands-on with cloud infrastructure (AWS or similar), containerisation, orchestration, and distributed systems
What You Bring
10+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or production engineering roles within SaaS or fintech environments
Strong technical foundation across cloud platforms, Linux, networking, containers, observability tooling, and automation
Experience driving reliability strategy and influencing engineering and product roadmaps
Familiarity with modern SRE principles—SLOs, error budgets, runbooks, incident workflows
Some mentoring or team leadership experience; prior people management is a plus, not a requirement
Comfortable in fast-paced, high-availability environments where reliability directly impacts clients and revenue
