How you’ll make an impact:

Assist in routine process of data cleaning, structuring, and transforming raw datasets into usable formats stored in data warehouse.
Identify and rectify data inconsistencies to ensure high-quality inputs.
Organize and maintain datasets to ensure accuracy, consistency, and easy accessibility.
Ensure that data transfers are executed efficiently and securely.
Collaborate with team members to design and build tools that streamline and automate data flows.
Implement and test scripts or applications (using Python, R, etc.) to optimize routine data processes.
Develop AI-driven tools to improve efficiency, scalability, and reliability of team and Research operations.
Conduct tests to validate software/data integrity.
Document processes, methodologies, and tool functionalities to support team knowledge sharing and future improvements.
Work closely with Research scientists, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Participate in team meetings and contribute innovative ideas to improve data workflows.

Skills and experience you’ll bring:

Currently pursuing a degree in Informatics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
Proficiency in data wrangling techniques and tools.
Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R.
Basic understanding of database systems (SQL and/or NoSQL) and data management principles.
Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated, keen attention to detail, and eagerness to learn new technologies and tools.
Ability to be onsite in Watertown, Ma for 10 weeks in Summer 2026 (start/end dates are flexible)

Compensation

The anticipated pay rate range for this role is $22 – $28/hour.
Actual rate is based on academic level.
