Job Title: Junior Network & Cloud Engineer

Location: Paris

Duration: 2 Years (Long-Term Assignment)

Start Date: As Soon As Possible

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Network & Cloud Engineer to support a high-profile environment related to IT and Cloud setup. This role requires hands-on expertise in network and security infrastructure, including Palo Alto firewalls, LAN/WiFi switching, and log management. The successful candidate will be embedded with onsite team, providing day-to-day technical support and long-term stability for the customer environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage Palo Alto firewalls to ensure secure network operations.
Configure and maintain LAN switches & WiFi environment for optimal connectivity and performance.
Configure and manage AWS cloud instances.
Provide proactive support and troubleshooting for network and security infrastructure.
Collaborate with client stakeholders to ensure systems meet operational and compliance requirements.
Produce technical documentation, configurations, and operational guides as needed.
Ensure best practices in IT security and adherence to organisational policies.

Required Skills & Experience

Proven hands-on experience with network setup.
Good knowledge of LAN, WiFi, Routing, VLAN Management, cabling technologies.
Working experience with networking solutions.
Experience with AWS setting up VPC, security groups platforms.
Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex environments.
Excellent communication skills in French & English (for Paris position) (spoken and written).
Ability to work independently onsite while liaising effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable Skills

Previous experience working within IT environments.
Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks will be added bonus.
Has problem solving skills and be able to handle critical situations with right attitude and approach
Ability to work off-business hours or weekends when required.
Participation in a rotating on-call schedule, one week per month (covering nights and weekends).

Location: Paris
