Pay Rate: $60.00 - $70.00 per hourJob Description:The Platform Engineer designs, develops, and deploys complex infrastructure operating platforms and network solutions while providing technical expertise to both internal teams and clients. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and automated enterprise solutions aligned with organizational values of integrity, safety, and service excellence.The Platform Engineer plays a critical role in cloud infrastructure, automation, security, and reliability, supporting modern software and infrastructure environments.Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and deploy complex infrastructure and network solutions
Build and deploy automation scripts to optimize infrastructure management
Partner with cross-functional teams to implement enterprise and software solutions
Monitor infrastructure systems for security, compliance, and availability
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, including system outages
Develop, test, and deploy new software and infrastructure components
Respond to security incidents and provide remediation guidance
Participate in the development and enforcement of security systems and policies
Analyze security alerts, vulnerabilities, and threats to prevent incidents
Perform additional duties as assigned while complying with all policies and standards
Required Skills & Qualifications:Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Business, or a related field and 4+ years of experience in infrastructure/network systems, system engineering, or related roles
OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience building cloud infrastructure in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Pulumi
Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, PowerShell, Go, or similar)
Experience using Git and modern code review/release workflows
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, and certificate management
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools
Experience deploying and supporting containerized workloads
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
Experience with security systems, vulnerability management, and remediation
Preferred:
Enterprise-scale cloud or platform engineering experience
Strong collaboration and facilitation skills across technical teams
