Senior Back-End Developer

Location: Edinburgh (Remote-first, with occasional office visits)

Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 per year + competitive benefits

About the Role

We’re seeking a Senior Back-End Developer to help build and scale a cutting-edge resource planning platform. You’ll focus on designing and implementing robust, secure, and efficient server-side solutions that power our product. Working closely with front-end developers and product teams, you’ll ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.

What You’ll Do

Lead the development of back-end features and services using .NET technologies.
Collaborate with product and engineering managers to define priorities and deliverables.
Optimize for scalability, performance, and maintainability across the codebase.
Mentor and coach other developers in best practices and technical approaches.
Participate in the full feature lifecycle—from concept to deployment and ongoing enhancements.
Work in an agile environment on a large-scale software product.

About You

Strong experience in back-end development with C# and .NET (Framework and Core).
Comfortable working across the stack when needed, with some exposure to front-end technologies.
Skilled in writing clean, testable code and using automated testing frameworks.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to tackle complex challenges.
Strong communicator and collaborator, able to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Passionate about building reliable, high-quality software solutions.

Bonus Points If You Have

Experience with .NET Core, Vue.js, SQL Server, and/or Microsoft Azure.
Familiarity with message queuing systems such as Azure Service Bus.
