About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Credit Manager to lead our client's credit and collections function, ensuring strong cash flow, reduced delinquency, and sound credit practices. This role will oversee customer credit evaluation, collections operations, dispute resolution, and policy governance, while partnering closely with Sales, Finance, and Customer Service to support sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Credit & Policy Management

Implement, maintain, and improve credit and collections policies and procedures
Evaluate customer creditworthiness and manage credit risk exposure
Ensure adherence to all applicable local, state, and federal laws

Collections Leadership

Manage the full end‑to‑end collections process to ensure timely receipt of payments
Develop and execute strategies to reduce delinquency and improve DSO
Oversee escalations for past‑due accounts, including payment plans, account holds, and referrals to agencies or legal counsel
Lead resolution of billing issues, invoice disputes, and short‑payments

Stakeholder Collaboration & Reporting

Communicate directly with customers regarding overdue balances
Partner cross‑functionally to resolve billing or account issues
Prepare and present regular reporting on credit exposure, aging, and collections performance

Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement

Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing credit and collections team
Drive process improvements, automation, and best practices to enhance efficiency

Requirements:

Experience & Background

BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years in credit, collections, or accounts receivable
2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role
Demonstrated success improving cash flow and reducing delinquency

Skills & Competencies

Strong credit risk assessment and financial analysis skills
Expertise in collections strategy and execution
Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict‑resolution abilities
High attention to detail and strong analytical mindset
Ability to influence cross‑functionally
Leadership and team‑development capability
Customer‑centric approach to problem solving
Experience developing policies, controls, and governance frameworks
