Job Specifications

You will join a central Data Office responsible for delivering analytics, reporting, and data services that support business-critical decision-making.

You will work in a multidisciplinary Agile team. As a Data Engineer, you are responsible for building reliable, performant, and well-documented analytical data solutions. You work closely with functional analysts and architects to translate business requirements into robust data models and pipelines that support reporting and analytics.

You take ownership of the full data lifecycle: from ingestion and transformation to validation, documentation, and support.

What You’ll Do

Design, build, and maintain data warehouses and data marts following Kimball dimensional modelling principles
Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using the Microsoft BI stack and Azure Databricks
Implement data ingestion, transformation, and validation processes aligned with performance and data-volume requirements
Collaborate with Data Architects and Technical Leads on data models, standards, and architecture decisions
Test, troubleshoot, and maintain analytical solutions in production
Create and support reports and dashboards using Power BI and/or SSRS
Prepare and deliver demos, prototypes, and explanations of data models to business stakeholders
Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the Data Office
Work closely with the Project Leader throughout the full project lifecycle in an Agile/Scrum context

What are we looking for?

You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or possess equivalent experience.
You have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer within the Microsoft BI stack, including Visual Studio, SSIS, SSAS, SSMS, Power BI, and SQL Server.
You possess at least 2 years of experience with Azure Databricks and Python.
You have strong technical skills in Python, Pandas, and Apache Spark.
You demonstrate good experience in data warehouse design, particularly Kimball dimensional modeling.
You exhibit strong problem-solving abilities and a pragmatic approach.
You are a team player who is perseverant, stress-resistant, and flexible.
You are proficient in English, Dutch, and French.
