**Sharepoint Developer** (Contract)

Duration: 6 Months Possibility for extension)

Location: London/Hybrid (3 days per week on site)

Rate: £415 per day via Umbrella

Role Profile

We are seeking a skilled SharePoint Developer to enhance our digital transformation initiatives. This role is within the SharePoint/Office 365 team, supporting project delivery on the Office 365 platform and driving the strategic adoption of SharePoint across the Bank.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the team and wider development unit to implement Agile methodologies, supporting daily operations of existing SharePoint/Office 365 applications.
Partner with Development and Architecture teams to establish best practices for SharePoint/Office 365.
Lead and contribute to technical and design workshops to foster innovation and problem-solving.
Conduct thorough code reviews to enhance team skills and ensure quality.
Plan and estimate work volumes for upcoming projects.
Assist in rolling out new tools and applications to streamline development processes.
Address performance, scalability, and security issues during design and implementation phases.
Follow Change Management Control procedures for updates in Production systems and provide maintenance reports for non-Production environments.
Participate in defining and configuring SharePoint/Office 365 environments in Disaster Recovery sites.
Encourage continuous improvement and skill development within the team and the broader development department.
Develop Office 365 tools, including SharePoint Online (PowerApps, Power Automate, SPFX, or ReactJS).
Analyze business requirements and provide actionable feedback.
Create detailed documentation of deliverables from both technical and business perspectives.
Write scripts for database querying languages, such as T-SQL (SQL Server) and PL/SQL (Oracle), to support data analysis and export based on business needs.
Address inquiries from Audit and Compliance departments, ensuring adherence to agreed criteria with the SMBC BI IT department.
Troubleshoot system failures and implement effective solutions, including checking relevant environments.
Maintain a common development style by adhering to team programming policies.
Liaise with support teams (Technical Support, Network, Infrastructure) to resolve user issues.
Assess the impact of data processing loads on SQL and Oracle databases and identify alternative solutions when necessary.
Roll out changes through system development while maintaining change history.
Communicate with primary support Helpdesk staff in London and New York to provide guidance and suggestions.
Manage permissions, access control, and governance policies.
Ensure compliance with organizational, regulatory, and bank standards.

Skills & Experience:

Strong understanding of SharePoint environments and Office 365 with DevOps.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a quality-oriented mindset.
Proficiency in web application development, including CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and HTML5.
Solid knowledge of REST API and Graph API.
Exposure to ASP.Net, C#, and other web development technologies.
Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and CI Automation.
