We are currently looking for a passionate learning and development professional to join our family on a Permanent basis.

What You Will Do In This Exciting New Role

Develop the Supply Chain functional and technical training curriculum utilizing existing infrastructure, tools (technology) and templates to deliver required learning outcomes including:

Contributing to the development of technical and functional training programs and content for Supply Chain
Collaborating with Subject Matter Experts for Operations (e.g. SOP’s, compliance programs, safety, OHS, Distribution Centre & Transport processes and tools).
Various communication functions including the following:
Overseeing Supply Chain Townhall
Contributing and editing Quarterly newsletter
Overseeing events as needed

Leadership conference, Fairs

Manage training locations/methods for assigned area including:

Collaborating with Distribution Centre & Transport Operations for trainers/training locations criteria and selections, and scheduling/registrations using the Learning Management System (LMS)
Managing and coordinating train the trainer programs and processes
Coordinating training logistics as required (locations, equipment, materials)
Partnering with Operations L&D to establish external learning partnerships for critical roles, and to deploy multi-device learning technologies to Distribution Centres. – ensuring content is engaging and effective.

Act as quality control for training, communication and deployment including:

Working with Human Resources team(s) to establish training and intake processes
Partnering with Distribution Centre Operations/Store Operations to cascade information
Being point of contact for Distribution Centre training
Overseeing training pilots.

Manage tracking and reporting of training costs and completions including:

Establishing various evaluation methods, monitoring and coordinating the achievement of functional learning outcomes/completions/certifications, and sustainment requirements
Monitoring certification of all trainers to ensure they meet program criteria
Tracking budget and purchases for all training initiatives, and reporting regularly to Operations on training certifications, success rates, costs, etc.

Continually assess quality and effectiveness of training and manage improvements as needed including:

Assessing quality of training delivery, sustainment efforts, and achievement of target outcomes in relation to KPI’s
Utilizing LMS to monitor training completion and success rates to inform Operations on Distribution Centre execution improvement opportunities

Your Resume Must Clearly Showcase

A College/Undergraduate Degree and a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience
Demonstrated skills and experience with project management
2+ years’ experience in design and development of training programs
Experience in training event/program coordination (Multimedia curriculum development for on-line and in-person learning)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Bilingual (French/English) preferred : the candidate will be expected to work with peers in other provinces in the expansion, development and implementation of tools and processes across Canada, as well as provide support to Sobeys employees across Canada
