Role Overview

ABM is seeking an experienced Corporate Security Manager to lead and manage security operations at Oxford North. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe, secure, and professional corporate environment while delivering a high-quality security service in line with ABM and client expectations. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong operational control, excellent stakeholder management, and full compliance with UK security regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Security Operations

Manage all day-to-day security operations across the Oxford North site.
Ensure security services are delivered in line with ABM standards, client requirements, and contractual obligations.
Develop, implement, and review Assignment Instructions, SOPs, and emergency procedures.

People Management

Lead, manage, and develop security supervisors and officers.
Ensure all staff hold valid SIA licences, receive appropriate training, and meet ABM presentation standards.
Manage rotas, annual leave, sickness, and staffing cover to ensure operational resilience.

Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure full compliance with SIA regulations, UK legislation, ABM policies, and client procedures.
Conduct regular security risk assessments and site audits.
Maintain accurate records including incident reports, investigations, and compliance documentation.

Incident & Emergency Management

Take command of security incidents, emergencies, and evacuations.
Act as the main point of contact with emergency services and senior stakeholders.
Conduct post-incident reviews and implement corrective actions.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

Act as the primary security liaison for the client and Oxford North stakeholders.
Attend client meetings and provide regular performance and incident reports.
Drive continuous improvement and support contract retention

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

The Corporate Security Manager will be measured against the following KPI

SIA Compliance: 100% of security staff correctly licensed and compliant.
Incident Management: Timely response and accurate reporting of all incidents (within agreed SLAs).
Audit Performance: Successful completion of internal and client audits with minimal or zero non-conformances.
Staff Performance & Retention: Reduced staff turnover and improved engagement levels.
Client Satisfaction: Positive client feedback and service review outcomes.
Cost Control: Effective management of overtime, absences, and operational costs within budget.
Training & Development: Completion of mandatory and site-specific training across the team.

(Transparency: KPIs reflect standard ABM and industry contract performance measures.)

Reporting Line

Reports to: Operations Manager / Regional Security Manager (ABM)
Direct Reports: Security Supervisors and Security Officers

Essential

Essential Qualifications & Experience

Valid SIA Licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervisor).
Minimum 3-5 years' experience within the security industry.
Proven experience in a security supervisory or management role, preferably in a corporate environment.
Strong knowledge of UK security legislation and SIA standards.
Excellent leadership, communication, and report-writing skills.
Competent IT skills (incident management systems, Microsoft Office).
Desirable
SIA Level 4 or Level 5 Qualification in Security Management (or equivalent).
Experience in corporate offices, business parks, or mixed-use developments.
IOSH Managing Safely or similar health & safety qualification.
Experience managing CCTV, access control, and visitor management systems.
