Data Analyst (Merchandising / Ecommerce)
We are seeking a Data Analyst for a 12+ month contract role. Our client is a subsidiary of a company based in Japan with offices located in Bellevue, WA. Job Summary: As a Data Analyst, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining accurate line plan data and ensuring timely communication of updates across cross-functional teams. You’ll manage data across multiple systems, understand product line architecture, and support ad hoc projects. In addition, you’ll ensure reports are functioning correctly and will help drive data integrity, process efficiency, and strategic decision-making across the Category Management team. The role is perfect for a team player with drive, curiosity, and strong interpersonal skills and who knows how to build relationships and deliver results in a complex and fast-paced environment.
What you’ll do
Act as a liaison between the Category Merchandising, Production, Logistics, Merchandise Development and Project Management teams
Assist the merchants in developing, implementing, and managing new scalable processes related to business and product strategy
Autonomously manage product data entry, integrity and accuracy
Support the launch of new systems by validating, integrating, and maintaining accurate product and operational data.
Create ad hoc reports based on business needs (i.e. management requests, inventory & sales reporting, etc.)
Coordinate and schedule meetings and help with meeting preparation as required.
Perform other duties as assigned
What you’ll bring
1-2 years relevant experience in a product, merchandising, retail sales, or buying role.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, or related field
Additional one-year related experience in place of a degree
Analytical Skills and understanding of Merchandising KPIs.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, both formal and informal
Ability to work independently, balance multiple priorities at once and meet tight deadlines
Tolerance for ambiguity
Ability to manage against a calendar with critical milestones and subsequent deliverables
Thorough attention to detail, understanding the importance of consistency
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MSFT (Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to lift and carry samples and bags weighing up to 50lbs
