Location: London, UK (Onsite – 5 days/week)

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) who is passionate about building robust automation frameworks and ensuring the quality, reliability, and safety of connected and embedded device platforms.

This is a hands-on technical role, ideal for someone who enjoys writing code, collaborating with developers, and driving quality through automation.

What You’ll Do

Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks
Collaborate closely with software engineers to define testable architectures and scenarios
Develop automation strategies for device platforms including:
Android & Linux
APIs (REST, IPC)
WebUI and connected devices
OTA (Over-the-Air) updates
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines with quality gates
Create and maintain test strategies, standards, and documentation
Support and mentor engineers on automation best practices and problem-solving

Must-Have:

3+ years of experience as an SDET / Automation Engineer / Software Engineer in Test
Strong coding skills in Python or Java
Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, Espresso
Experience testing device software, APIs, or system-level applications
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
Strong understanding of software testing principles and quality engineering

Nice-to-Have:

Experience with medical device software or regulated environments
Knowledge of IEC 62304 or similar standards
Experience with performance, video protocol, or OTA testing
