JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Senior Front End Engineer
Department: IT
Location: Brussels / Remote (HYBRID, two days on-site)
SENIOR FE ENGINEER – (LPP B2B SALES CHANNEL TEAM)
We’re looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer to lead the modernization and add new features to an existing application using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
This role is ideal for someone who loves diving into complex UI architectures, refining developer experience, and delivering scalable, high-performing front-end solutions, and leading the front-end development for the team.
KEY SKILLS:
Next.js 14+ — Deep understanding of the App Router, Server/Client Components, SSR/SSG/ISR strategies, Middleware, and Redis caching.
React 18+ & TypeScript — Expert-level knowledge of modern React patterns, concurrent features, and strict TypeScript typing.
State & Data Management — Advanced TanStack Query for caching and mutations; complex form handling with React Hook Form + Zod.
Authentication & Security — Auth0 integration (preferably), middleware-based authentication, and modern web security practices.
Testing & Quality — Strong focus on unit and E2E testing (Jest, RTL, MSW), accessibility testing (WCAG 2.1 AA), and CI/CD pipelines.
UI/UX & Performance — Experience with Material-UI (MUI), Emotion/CSS-in-JS, Core Web Vitals, and runtime performance tuning.
Collaboration & DevOps — Familiar with Git workflows, Azure DevOps pipelines, code reviews, Docker basics, and feature flagging and monitoring tools.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
5+ years in front-end development, including 3+ years building production-grade Next.js/React applications.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for accessibility and performance.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum ways of working, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimations, and iterative delivery.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills; experience mentoring or leading developers.
