Chief Executive Officer - United Kingdom - Hybrid
We’re working with a privately owned, specialist B2B technology business serving sophisticated customers across government, infrastructure and regulated industrial markets worldwide. The organisation operates in complex environments where operational performance, resilience and trust are paramount, and where credibility is earned through delivery rather than presentation.
With a strong reputation, an international customer base and operations across multiple geographies, the business has recently strengthened its foundations and is now investing in the next stage of its evolution.
The role
The opportunity now is for a new Chief Executive Officer to lead the business into its next chapter. Working closely with the existing ownership, the CEO will guide a hands-on, technically led organisation through a period of continued evolution, balancing the responsibility of what exists today with the careful, practical scaling of what comes next.
This appointment comes at a defining moment in the company’s journey. Built and shaped over many years by an entrepreneurial leadership team, the organisation now stands on strong foundations operationally, financially and culturally, with a reputation grounded in trust, delivery and deep technical credibility.
The next phase calls for a leader who can step into this moment with both care and conviction. Someone able to galvanise the organisation, build momentum and bring clarity of direction, while respecting what has made the business successful to date. The CEO will balance pragmatism with ambition, combining thoughtful, hands-on leadership with the confidence to move the business forward.
Responsibilities
Set and deliver the company’s long-term strategic vision, aligned to its mission, values and market opportunities.
Lead the global organisation with full accountability for financial performance, including P&L, cash flow and long-range planning.
Drive sustainable revenue growth across existing customers and new markets while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and reliability.
Oversee technology, product and operational strategy, balancing innovation with risk management in regulated environments.
Build, lead and develop a high-performing executive leadership team and organisational culture.
Act as a senior representative of the business with major customers, partners, regulators and industry stakeholders.
Ideal for someone who has
Proven CEO or senior executive within technology-driven or engineering-led businesses operating in complex, regulated environments.
Experience leading organisations that combine advanced technology, integrated solutions and long-term service or support models.
Full P&L responsibility with strong commercial and financial acumen, including cash flow, forecasting and cost discipline.
A track record of operating in highly regulated, safety-critical or government-facing markets where reliability and compliance are essential.
Experience leading global or multi-site organisations, including international teams and significant time-zone complexity.
Credibility engaging with sophisticated customers, partners and senior stakeholders in complex B2B or B2G contexts.
Experience working within privately owned or non-quoted businesses, with a strong understanding of founder or shareholder dynamics.
A leadership style that balances strategic clarity with practical, hands-on execution.
A reputation for building trust, accountability and high-performance cultures.
