KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful applicants must be flexible as the role involves working on a wide variety of projects within a small multi skilled team.

Translation of Product objectives into technical Objectives
Creation of test methodologies to evaluate technical objectives
Contribution to Failure Mode and Effect Analysis during concept review
Design Verification Plan Creation and Reporting
Diesel Engine Performance and Emissions development
Software feature specification, calibration and verification
Engine calibration creation
Mechanical verification and validation of engine components and systems
Failure analysis and defect resolution using industry-standard methods
Technical reporting
The role will require collaboration with all platform teams based at the Stafford facility
Occasional overseas travel may be necessary as required by business needs

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Essential:

Engineering Degree or other equivalent qualification/experience
Experienced in engine Performance and Emissions calibration
Knowledge of emissions measurement techniques, worldwide emission regulations and emissions measurement hardware
Working knowledge of industrial diesel engine systems such as cooling, lubrication, air etc…
Diesel engine component validation experience
PC literacy, excellent use of all MS Office components
High standard of written technical reporting

Desirable:

Knowledge of hardware matching, fuel system optimisation and control system development
Knowledge of Products and processes
Experience of Vector CANape and utilisation for live engine calibration
