Job Title: Product Owner
Location: Canada (Remote )
Type - Contract 6+Months
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to join our team in Canada. The Product Owner will be responsible for defining product vision, managing the product backlog, and working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality digital solutions. The ideal candidate has strong Agile/Scrum experience, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a deep understanding of business and user needs.
Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership & Strategy
Define and communicate the product vision, roadmap, and goals aligned with business objectives
Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and development teams
Translate business requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria
Backlog Management
Own, groom, and prioritize the product backlog to maximize business value
Ensure backlog items are well-defined, estimated, and ready for development
Continuously refine requirements based on feedback and changing priorities
Agile & Scrum Collaboration
Work closely with Scrum Masters, developers, QA, UX, and other stakeholders
Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
Ensure timely delivery of features while maintaining quality standards
Stakeholder & Customer Engagement
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback
Conduct product demos and presentations to stakeholders
Use customer insights, analytics, and market trends to guide product decisions
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role
Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Hands-on experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Product Owner or Agile certifications (CSPO, PSPO, SAFe PO/PM)
Experience working with distributed or remote teams
Knowledge of SDLC, APIs, cloud platforms, or data-driven products
Experience in domains such as FinTech, Healthcare, E-commerce, or SaaS (plus)
