We are a software startup dedicated to unifying ERP and CRM solutions into one seamless platform. As we prepare for growth, we are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to own the end-to-end delivery and operational effectiveness of our platform, from requirements through production. This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, and business, acting as both a Scrum Master and systems owner, ensuring that what we build is aligned with business goals, delivered on time, and scalable in production. In a startup environment, this role goes beyond ceremony — you will actively drive execution, remove blockers, translate business needs into technical clarity, and own delivery accountability.
This role offers high ownership and real impact on a core platform with direct collaboration with leadership. You'll have the opportunity to shape processes, in a startup with room to grow into product or delivery leadership. While this role is Remote, it will be operating in accordance to Eastern Standard timezone (US).
Key Responsibilities
Product & Business Analysis
Partner with founders, product, and stakeholders to gather, clarify, and prioritize business and system requirements
Translate business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications
Maintain and refine the product backlog with a focus on business value and technical feasibility
Ensure platform features align with customer needs, internal workflows, and long-term scalability
Agile Delivery & Scrum Leadership
Act as Scrum Master for the engineering team
Facilitate sprint planning, daily standups, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
Ensure Agile best practices are followed while adapting them pragmatically for a startup environment
Track sprint progress, velocity, dependencies, and delivery risks
Platform Development Oversight
Serve as the primary point of coordination between engineering, product, and business teams
Monitor development progress across features, integrations, and technical initiatives
Identify blockers early and proactively drive resolution
Support architectural and technical discussions by grounding decisions in business impact
Define and improve delivery processes, documentation standards, and communication flows
Use metrics and feedback to optimize development efficiency and product outcomes
Support roadmap planning and long-term platform evolution
Production & Release Management
Oversee release planning, deployment readiness, and production rollouts
Coordinate testing, UAT, and acceptance prior to release
Ensure production issues are triaged, prioritized, and resolved efficiently
Document workflows, system behaviors, and operational processes
Required Qualifications
4+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Product Analyst, Scrum Master, or similar role
Hands-on experience working with software engineering teams on platform or product development
Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable technical work
Experience overseeing products from development through production
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Comfortable working in a startup or fast-changing environment
Preferred Qualifications
Scrum Master or Agile certification (CSM, PSM, SAFe, etc.)
Experience with native or custom-built platforms (web, mobile, or SaaS)
Familiarity with APIs, integrations, cloud environments, and modern development stacks
Experience working with distributed or offshore engineering teams
Background in product operations or technical program management
