The project is a small-scale, self-funded indie game developed by a solo creator, seeking original music that enhances the game's unique tone and atmosphere. The role is fully remote, offering creative freedom and the chance to make a significant impact on the overall player experience. The ideal candidate will be comfortable collaborating closely with the developer to ensure the soundtrack aligns with the vision and emotional beats of the game.

Responsibilities

Compose and produce original music tracks tailored to the game's style and narrative
Collaborate with the developer to understand the desired mood and thematic direction
Integrate music using FMod to ensure seamless in-game audio transitions
Revise and adapt compositions based on feedback to achieve the best fit for gameplay moments
Deliver high-quality audio files in required formats within agreed timelines
Maintain clear communication throughout the project to ensure alignment on creative goals

Skills And Requirements

Demonstrated experience composing music, preferably for games or interactive media
Proficiency with FMod and digital audio workstations (DAWs)
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively on a remote basis
Strong creative instincts and adaptability to feedback
Experience with small-scale or indie projects is highly desirable
Excellent communication skills for remote collaboration
Availability to start soon and commit to project deadlines
