Principal Application Security Engineer | Boston | 1 day in the Office

We’re hiring an Application Security Engineer to drive cloud and application security initiatives in a regulated financial environment, partnering closely with engineering and leadership teams.

What you’ll do?

Design and deliver application and cloud security solutions across AWS, embedding security into architecture, engineering, and operations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into cloud designs, CI/CD pipelines, and SDLC workflows
Serve as a senior AWS security advisor, supporting design, engineering, and operational delivery of critical services
Influence strategic security decisions and translate risk into clear guidance for technical and business stakeholders
Coach and educate engineers and leaders on cloud security and modern cybersecurity practices

What we’re looking for?

Experience in application security with a background in offensive security or red team environments
Strong AWS security expertise (IAM, SCPs, KMS, GuardDuty, VPC Endpoints)
Hands-on experience with Python, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and EKS or ECS
Excellent communication skills; financial services experience preferred

Location

Hybrid: 1 day per week onsite in downtown Boston

Compensation

Base salary: up to $270k
Total compensation: - $325k (bonus included)
