A leading professional sports team based in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, France is seeking a high-performing Head of Commercial Sales to lead and grow its sponsorship and partnerships revenue.

This is a senior sales leadership role focused on driving new business sponsorship sales, managing strategic partners, and leading a team of commercial sales executives to deliver ambitious revenue targets.

The Role

Reporting into the executive leadership team, you will be responsible for:

Owning and delivering the commercial sponsorship sales strategy.
Driving new business acquisition across regional, national, and international partners.
Identifying, pitching, negotiating, and closing high-value sponsorship agreements.
Leading, mentoring, and scaling a team of commercial/sponsorship sales executives.
Managing key partner relationships and ensuring long-term commercial growth.
Working closely with marketing and activation teams to maximise partner value.
Building and maintaining a strong sponsorship pipeline against clear revenue targets.

The Profile

We’re looking for a commercially driven sales leader with:

Proven experience in sponsorship, partnerships, or commercial sales leadership (within a professional sports environment preferred).
A strong new business mindset with a track record of closing deals.
Experience managing and motivating sales teams.
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
A strategic yet hands-on approach to revenue growth.
Comfort operating in fast-paced, performance-driven environments.
