About The Role
We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to support our Engineering organization. This role is pivotal in aligning people strategies with business objectives to foster a scalable, engaged, and diverse workforce. As an HR Business Partner at Instacart, you will operate at the intersection of talent management, organizational development, and culture building. Your responsibilities will include advising Engineering leadership on organizational design, succession planning, and performance management initiatives.
You will champion employee growth by designing career development programs, enhancing learning opportunities, and providing expertise in employee relations and total rewards. The role offers a unique opportunity to develop and implement innovative people strategies from the ground up, working in a fast-paced environment that values agility and purpose-driven work. You will collaborate closely with various internal teams and centers of excellence to drive impactful initiatives that support our mission of creating a world where everyone has access to the food they love—and more time to enjoy it together.
Qualifications
2-3 years of experience as an HR Business Partner in a high-growth technology company
4+ years of overall HR or related experience
Proven track record in implementing impactful people programs and strategies
Strong relationship-building skills with effective communication and influence at all organizational levels
In-depth knowledge of employment laws and their application in daily operations
Analytical mindset with strategic thinking and effective execution in ambiguous environments
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience supporting Engineering, Product, or Design teams
Passion for working in environments experiencing rapid growth and change
Responsibilities
Serve as a strategic partner to Engineering leadership, providing guidance on organizational development, succession planning, and performance management
Champion employee growth by designing and implementing career development initiatives and learning programs
Develop and execute innovative talent acquisition and retention strategies to attract diverse, top-tier candidates
Promote a positive workplace culture aligned with Instacart’s core values and foster an environment of trust and collaboration
Support change management initiatives and help navigate organizational transformations effectively
Collaborate with People Team Centers of Excellence and other stakeholders to deliver impactful HR programs and process improvements
Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies across all HR activities
Leverage data and analytics to inform decision-making and measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives
