Sara Software Systems is seeking a highly experienced Network Engineer with Subject Matter Expert (SME) level expertise in Network Security Engineering to support a Federal IRS project. This role requires deep experience in secure network architecture, federal cybersecurity compliance, and providing expert-level technical guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Network Security Engineering.
Design, review, and implement secure network architectures aligned with federal standards.
Provide expert guidance, design reviews, and security recommendations.
Support compliance with federal cybersecurity frameworks and controls.
Participate in security assessments, risk analysis, and documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams supporting IRS programs.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Networking or a related field.
10+ years of experience in Network Engineering.
Strong background in Network Security Architecture and Security Controls.
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification required.
Moderate-Risk Background Investigation (MBI) required (active or past).
Must be eligible to work on Federal Government projects.

General / Preferred Requirements:

Experience supporting Federal Government programs; IRS experience preferred.
Strong understanding of federal Cybersecurity standards and compliance requirements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
