General Summary: The Vice President, Head of Technology is responsible for the company’s overall global technology strategy, systems, and data infrastructure. The VP ensures that technology supports business goals, operates securely and efficiently, and scales as the company grows.
Primary Responsibilities and Competencies:
Technology Strategy & Leadership
Define and execute the company’s IT and technology roadmap aligned with business objectives
Manage a global team of 8-10 developers and infrastructure support personnel.
Utilize external vendors and consultants to acquire skillsets on a project by project basis.
Advise leadership on technology investments, risks, and opportunities
Translate business needs into practical, cost-effective technology solutions
Utilize Technology to help increase revenue, drive efficiency, and move the direction of the company into being a technology driven environmental company.
Lead the company’s AI strategy and execution to better position the company strategically, drive revenue and create operational and technological efficiency
Systems & Infrastructure
Oversee core systems including cloud platforms, information security, networks, hardware, and software tools
Ensure reliability, performance, and scalability of IT systems
Help direct the company to become device independent and VDI enabled.
Manage all technology vendor relationships and contracts
Cybersecurity & Risk
Establish and maintain cybersecurity policies and best practices
Protect company data, systems, and intellectual property
Ensure compliance with applicable data privacy and security requirements
Data & Information Management
Oversee data governance, access controls, and data integrity
Support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence needs
Ensure systems enable accurate, timely decision-making
Operations & Support
Oversee IT support and troubleshooting (internal or outsourced)
Implement technology standards, documentation, and processes
Manage IT budgets and control costs
Maintain IT controls and work with CAO on audits and documenting best practices.
Primary Responsibilities and Competencies:
Experience leading global IT or technology functions for a large global department or company.
Strong understanding of application development, cloud services, cybersecurity, application development, and modern business systems
Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
Must be able to be part of the development team.
Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with executive leadership
Excellent application development skills, database development, AI knowledge and development, Netsuite and Microsoft Azur and 365.
Have built and maintained application development and change management best practice
