IT Security Analyst – Junior – Hybrid in Columbus, OH

Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated IT Security Analyst – Junior to support identity access management, security operations, and cybersecurity service delivery initiatives. This role is responsible for assisting with security operations processes, supporting identity and access-related activities, and helping ensure security services are delivered effectively and in compliance with organizational standards.
The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and comfortable working cross-functionally with IT teams, service providers, and business stakeholders. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to track and resolve issues, and the capability to support security processes, audits, and operational activities.
This is a hybrid role requiring collaboration with internal teams and external service providers.
Key Responsibilities:
Support identity and access management processes, including provisioning, access reviews, and issue resolution
Assist with tracking, monitoring, and supporting cybersecurity operational activities and service delivery processes
Review, analyze, and report on security service provider operations and performance
Help resolve or escalate identity access and security-related issues in a timely manner
Collaborate with IT Operations, IT Support, Service Providers, and business stakeholders to support security services
Assist with procurement, expense tracking, and operational support related to security services
Support security audits by gathering documentation, validating processes, and ensuring compliance requirements are met
Maintain and update documentation related to security services, processes, and procedures
Monitor security-related projects to ensure timelines, budgets, and service levels are met
Assist with security incident response activities, investigations, and issue resolution
Provide administrative and operational support for cybersecurity and identity management programs
Required Qualifications:
Experience supporting IT operations, cybersecurity, identity access management, or technical support functions preferred
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Strong attention to detail and ability to track operational processes accurately
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and service providers
Professional, dependable, and proactive approach to work
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting identity access management, cybersecurity, or IT security operations
Experience working with service providers, vendors, or third-party support teams
Experience supporting audits, compliance processes, or operational documentation
Experience tracking projects, operational activities, or service delivery metrics
Exposure to cybersecurity concepts such as identity access, incident response, or security operations
