We're seeking a DevOps Engineer for TransUnion (Canada Remote) through Softility Inc. This 6-month contract (extension likely) automates full SDLC cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) using Terraform/Ansible/Docker/Kubernetes, provides 24x7 on-call support, and drives operational process improvements across Linux/containerized environments.

Location: Canada Remote (no travel required)

Duration: 6 months (possibility of extension)

Core Responsibilities

Design/provision/monitor/maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) using automation best practices
Automate full SDLC for application + infrastructure-as-code workloads
Business continuity/DR automation
24x7 rotational on-call + root cause analysis for service incidents
Production/non-production system optimization for efficiency/security
Cloud migration technology assessments
Operational process automation

Must Haves (5+ Years Production Experience):

Cloud: AWS/GCP infrastructure + governance models

OS: Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Debian) fundamentals

Containers: Docker, EKS, GKE, Kubernetes

IaC/automation: Terraform, Docker, Ansible, Chef

CI/CD: Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, Jira

Monitoring: Prometheus, ELK, CloudWatch, StackDriver

Scripting: Python, Bash, Perl, JavaScript

Methodologies: Agile/SAFe, ITSM (incident/problem/change/config mgmt)

Nice To Haves

AWS/GCP Certification or Solution Architect cert
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)
