Position: AWS Cloud Engineering Team Lead

Client: Financial Sector

Location: Toronto (Hybrid) - 3 days onsite per week

Duration: Six Months (Potential for extension)

Background

Our financial sector client requires the services of an AWS Cloud Engineer Team Lead to support the Cloud Platform and Product Components

It's a Cloud Operations-focused role. This role’s focus is operational efficiency, prompt service requests and incident responses, dealing with complicated and escalated user issues, ensuring a high standard of user experience, stakeholder management, cloud FinOps disciplines and people/team leadership.

10+ years of experience in Infrastructure and AWS Cloud Engineering
Support Cloud Platform and Product Components
Ability to lead troubleshooting, issue investigation, and resolution
Technical strength to lead Cloud Operations team activities and member,s and escalation support.
Strong knowledge of Service Management and ITSM processes
Regularly Peer Review code (limited to AWS Tech Stack) for accuracy and best practices, operational stability
Ensure strong cloud security and cost management controls are maintained

Skills

Skills:

10+ years of infrastructure experience
5+ years of experience on engineering AWS infra with relevant services: IAM, EC2, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, KMS, VPC, Cognito, Config, SCP, CloudTrail, VPC Endpoint, Quick Suite.
Demonstrated expertise using Terraform to design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure.
Strong knowledge on AWS networking services such as Transit Gateway, Route 53, firewall
AWS Certified Solution Architect Professional level certification - Nice to Have
Knowledge Across Cloud Security Practices and Tools, Architecture, FinOps and Cost Governance
Lead continued improvement efforts for operational efficiency and improvement
