Position: Big Data Engineer

Location: Toronto Ontario

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain scalable data processing solutions using Scala, Hadoop, Spark, and Hive.
Design and optimize complex data pipelines and ETL workflows across distributed systems.
Implement and manage high-performance data models and architectures in Snowflake.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize large-scale data applications for performance and reliability.
Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and cross-functional teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across all processing layers.
Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications in Kubernetes/OCP4 or other cloud-native environments (nice to have).
Automate operational tasks and workflow management using shell scripting (nice to have).
Support integration and operationalization of AI/ML models within data pipelines (nice to have).
Follow engineering best practices, including version control, CI/CD, documentation, and code reviews.
