Job Specifications

Title: Big Data Application Developer

Duration: 12 Months

Location: Toronto, ON

Must Have Requirement:

3+ years hands-on of big data using Spark, Python, Nifi, Kafka, Airflow and cloud platform like Data Bricks, Snowflake

2+ years of systems admin including Docker, Kubernetes

2+ years supporting tech steps on prem

Unix and Unix like OS with shell scripting- very key

Python

Strong SQL queries optimization

Java or Scala or Python

DevOps Tools; automation, Data Ops

Must provide their financial and investment portfolio, have restrictions on what they can own as they have a lot of access to trading information

Nice to have:

OpenShift. Airflow, S3, Trino, Ranger, and Hive

Creating dashboards with Prometheus and Grafana

Knowledge of networking, information security, and vulnerability management.

Knowledge about data science tools and libraries.
